[Quick updates on We Study Markets]
By Matthew Gutierrez and Shawn O’Malley
Hey Folks!
We are emerging from a food-induced hibernation post-Thanksgiving, but we wanted to jump in your inbox again to remind you that this past Wednesday was our last “regular” edition of We Study Markets.
What does that mean? Exciting things, that’s what.
We’ll continue to send some updates over the coming weeks, but starting in January, we are launching a brand new podcast and newsletter devoted to studying interesting businesses, valuing them, and building a portfolio of high-quality stocks to own long-term.
It’s a big shift, but we think you’ll love it. Nothing is needed on your end except to keep opening these update emails when we send them (update #2 coming next Monday.)
Some stuff we find interesting below in the meantime.
— Matthew & Shawn

Last Wednesday, we asked: What are you most looking forward to this holiday season?
— Most readers say they’re most looking forward to seeing family and friends, plus relaxing. “In life that is what is the most important,” one reader reminded us. “Seeing cousins and close family members who I rarely get the opportunity to see and talk with is truly priceless,” another wrote.
— Wrote one: “I work in healthcare, so I work every other Thanksgiving. I am going to really enjoy just relaxing, eating and drinking and watching football.”
— Said another: “Relationships are the most important thing. Fortunately, I've found (active) investing to accelerate becoming work-optional sooner than I previously dreamed, to maximize time with family & friends.”
