A few fun facts about Spring:

The first day of spring is called the vernal equinox in the Northern Hemisphere. The name vernal comes from Latin and means equal night, fitting since there are 12 hours of day and 12 hours of night on the equinox, which falls on March 19th this year.

— Benjamin Franklin was the first to propose Daylight Savings Time, but it wasn’t implemented until the end of World War 2.

— The first spring flowers to bloom? Typically daffodils, dandelions, lilies, tulips, iris, and lilacs, to name a few.
